The Journey Begins: An Invitation

Get Ready!

Welcome. We are so glad you’re here at the very beginning of a new journey. This space, "The Liturgy of Peace," is born from a simple but profound conviction: our weekly time of worship is not an escape from the world, but our essential preparation for it. It is where God, through Word and Song, forms and shapes us into people of peace, ready to live a more Christ-like life within our communities.

Our goal is to create a weekly companion for your spiritual journey. Each Friday, a new post will reflect on the scriptures and music for the upcoming Sunday, helping to prepare our hearts for the liturgy we will soon share.

A Fire is Coming...

Our journey begins in earnest next Friday, August 15th. Our first reflection will prepare us for the powerful liturgy of Sunday, August 17th, and we will dive headfirst into some of the most challenging words in the Gospel.

Have you ever wondered what Jesus meant when he said, "I have come to bring fire on the earth... Do you think I have come to bring peace? No, I tell you, but rather division"?

How can the one we call the Prince of Peace speak of bringing division? How can the Word of God be both a healing balm and a "hammer that breaks a rock in pieces"? Our first reflection will wrestle with these powerful questions. We will explore how, sometimes, the path to true reconciliation requires disrupting a false or unjust peace, and how the hymns we will sing give us the courage to take up our own cross and follow this difficult, beautiful path.

We invite you to join us. Our first post will be waiting for you here next Friday. We look forward to beginning this journey of reflection, music, and spiritual formation with you.

Peace be with you.
